I went to the cities this past weekend for a baby shower. Connie and Andrea threw it for me and it was a lot of fun. It was so nice to see friends and family and spend time enjoying each other. Joe stayed home to study like a good med student, I think he enjoyed the relaxing weekend, but missed out on seeing everyone.
I was given a boutonniere made of baby socks when I came in the door. All the small baby details were great. We had fantastic food and played some enjoyable baby word scramble and what's wrong with this picture. I am so grateful for the fun times and the great presents. I loved the Daddy Diaper Doo-ty belt including all the essentials for Joe to change diapers. We got cute outfits, wonderful books, and lots of fun essentials for our little girl. We can't wait to meet her, only 6 more weeks!

Easter
Easter was a lot of fun with both sets of soon to be grandparents and Bob. We had an Easter egg hunt, which Bob won of course. As you can see in the picture below, Joe pushed me over to get an Easter egg that I found, so I was trying to steal his eggs. The Easter bunny not only hid eggs, but we got some fun presents, mostly fun things for the baby like a travel system, books, and a MN Twins outfit. Here are some pictures:

Setting up the Nursery
For Easter weekend we have both sets of parents down and Bobby. Bryan and Jessie are planning to stop by as well on their way to see Jessie's family. This is an exciting weekend for us because my parents brought the crib down that my dad made. It is absolutely gorgeous and it is so fun to have a nursery that is semi set-up. Here are some pictures we took today of the nursery:
Crib with dust ruffle and blanket by Grandma Clapper. The little pink elephant is Joe's gift to his little girl. Grandma Clapper also brought a mobile that matches the lamp from Zabells. This is the rocking chair my mom used to nurse us kids, she made cushions for our little girl along with the cute ducky pillow.
