Setting up the Nursery

For Easter weekend we have both sets of parents down and Bobby. Bryan and Jessie are planning to stop by as well on their way to see Jessie's family. This is an exciting weekend for us because my parents brought the crib down that my dad made. It is absolutely gorgeous and it is so fun to have a nursery that is semi set-up. Here are some pictures we took today of the nursery:

Crib with dust ruffle and blanket by Grandma Clapper. The little pink elephant is Joe's gift to his little girl. Grandma Clapper also brought a mobile that matches the lamp from Zabells. This is the rocking chair my mom used to nurse us kids, she made cushions for our little girl along with the cute ducky pillow.

Bookshelf with a start on toys and books for our little girl. Here's one of Joe's birthday presents from his parents, I don't think it's quite his size, but I bet baby Zabell will like it. Bobby gave us a big pink bunny for Easter and we thought it was fitting to put it in the swing.

Absolutely adorable. Bobby - nice bunny! I bet Karen was really tickled to see how well the rocking chair cushions fit! The room will be a warm welcome for your little sweetie. You already look like happy parents, and I am so happy for you! Andy

It was so fun to do our part to help get the nursery ready for your dear daughter. We are getting very excited to meet her. I did think as I hugged Joe goodbye that the next hug I might get from him could be when he's a daddy! We're looking forward to the shower this weekend. That nursery will be FULL, I'm sure!
